Carfan Dinefwr yw’r garfan ardal ar gyfer clwstwr Ysgolion Cylch Dinefwr. Yn ddaearyddol mae’r ardal yn ymestyn o Rydaman yn y de i Lanymddyfri yn y gogledd.
Sefydlwyd carfan Dinefwr ar ddechrau’r 70au. Ers hynny mae’r garfan wedi gwasanaethu pob ysgol yng nghlwstwr Dinefwr gyda rygbi 15 bob ochr i blant ym mlynyddoedd 5 a 6. Mae carfan Dinefwr yn aelod o Undeb Rygbi Ysgolion Cymru.
Mae’r plant sy’n chwarae i’r garfan yn cael yr anrhydedd o gynrychioli eu hysgolion ar lefel ardal. Wedi lefel ardal gall rhai o’r plant fynd ymlaen i gynrychioli eu hardal a’i hysgolion ar lefel sir. Tu hwnt i hwn gall rhai o’r plant gynrychioli eu hardal a’i hysgolion ar lefel Gorllewin Cymru.
Dinefwr Schools Rugby team is the district rugby team for the Dinefwr cluster of schools. Geographically the Dinefwr district stretches from Ammanford in the south up to Llandovery in the north.
The Dinefwr district was established in the early 70s. Since then it has served all schools within the Dinefwr area with 15 a side full contact rugby for pupils in years 5 and 6. The district is affiliated to the Welsh Schools Rugby Union.
Pupils who play for the Dinefwr team have the privilege of representing their schools at district level. Beyond this there are opportunities for pupils to go and represent their school and district at county level. Beyond county level they can go on and gain their first Welsh Cap in the under 11s category by playing for the
